FUN RUN 2018

GREAT MIDLANDS FUN RUN 2018

This years Fun Run entries have closed, so your too late to enter. But you can still sponsor people who have entered. One such entrant, running for The League of Friends of the John Taylor Hospice, is their new ambassador, Kevin Brown.  He has teamed up this year with Sarah McMahon who has entered every year, except one, since it started as the Sutton Fun Run, many, many, years ago. Kevin will be pushing Sarah's wheelchair round the course, so give them a big cheer or even a push and of course some dosh.
Kevin won an Olympic Gold Medal at the Sydney Games, which have been hailed many times as the best games ever. He has also been world champion on no less than four occassions. All in the discus event. Kevin now competes in senior discus events and late last year won a silver medal in the World Championship Games, held in South Korea. He has adopted the League of Friends  becomming our ambassador and travels to schools, sports clubs and gyms, to promote fitness through sport, whilst waving the flag for the League of Friends.
Event starts at 11:00 3rd June.
REMEMBER... IF YOU CAN'T TAKE PART, YOU CAN ALWAYS SPONSOR SOMEONE, WHO IS.
